My name is Anette Arvfors.
I was born in Sweden but have now lived in Nazaré since 2017.
I paint with oil paints and use painting knives instead of brushes.
I usually start from a photograph when I paint. I often have my camera with me when I'm out and about, and at various parties and events. That's where I find the inspiration for my paintings.
I like when a lot is happening in a picture. There should be many people doing different things, moving in different ways and interacting with each other. I also like strong, happy colors. The combination of painting knives and the desire to paint life and movement with many people has meant that my painting has ended up in the naive art direction.

Sometimes I also use other mediums, as pastel and ceramic, to express myself, to develop and because it's fun.
